My Two Cents: Masquerade Party

Auguste Roc

Let me get this straight:

Everybody agreed to the rules before the game got started, and now...

Just about every man, woman and child I know appreciates a good, competitive fight, AND one of the first lessons that any man, woman and every child learns in life is that -

You are expected to follow the rules of the game!

So why then now, in what is supposed to be one of the most sophisticated arenas in the world is changing the rules in the middle of the game being offered to us as a fair and just endeavor? In an effort now, to suit the agenda of the one who appears to have lost, the rules that were unanimously acknowledged are now being unilaterally challenged. Didn't we learn when we were kids that you play by the rules or you don't play at all?

It's ABC and 123 and it's ingrained in the fabric of our youth - this very basic and universal lesson that allows us to manage and maintain the integrity of almost everything we do:

Rules may have been made to be broken but -

NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAME!

That's my two cent's (for whatever it's worth).
