Sometimes it is really hard to forgive, especially when we have been badly hurt or devastated or when we feel betrayed. Reading some of these stories that other people have shared with here, has inspired me to let go of some of the things I have been unwilling to forgive.

The Forgiveness Project is a charitable organization which explores forgiveness, reconciliation and conflict resolution through real-life human experience.
We use stories, and in particular our powerful exhibition The F Word, to open up a dialogue and promote understanding. Many of those whose voices are celebrated on this website, also share their stories in person. We work in prisons, schools, faith communities, and with any group who want to explore the nature of forgiveness whether in the wider political context or within their own lives. We welcome comment and experiences from visitors to this site.
Our aims:
- Awareness - raise the debate by collecting and sharing personal stories (and images)
- Education - encourage and empower people to explore the nature of forgiveness and alternatives to conflict and revenge
- Inspiration - engage civil society, as well as transform hearts and minds
